Table concentrator/Shaking table/table classifier/vibrating table is a mine selecting machine for fine materials working by gravity. It is widely used in the selection of Tin, tungsten, gold, silver, lead, zinc, tantalum, niobium, iron, manganese, ferrotitanium and coal.

Shaking table can be used in the ore-dressing practices, such as rough selection, elaborate selection, and scavenging. It also can select and sort coarse sand (2-0.5mm), fine sand (0.5-0.074mm), slime (-0.074) and other different particle sizes. What is more, shaking table can be used for sorting iron, manganese ore and coal. When dealing with tungsten, tin and other minerals, its effective recovery size is 2-0.02 mm.

Main parts

A shaking table is manly composed of eight components, which are table head, electric motor, slope control, deck, feed box, water tank, rifle spokes and lubrication system. The vertical and reciprocating motion of the deck is drove by the crank-connecting actuator. The motor drives the eccentric shafts to rotate and the connecting rod to move up and down. When the connecting rod makes a downward movement, the toggle plate pushes back shaft and reciprocating lever backward. At the same time, through the tension of spring, it drives the deck to move backward, because the deck is connected with the reciprocating lever by linkage seat. When the rod moves upward, through the force from spring tension, the deck makes a forward movement.

    The zonation and selection of minerals

    Under the condition of proper operation, the mineral zonation is very clear on the bed; however, the final products are classified 2-4 kinds according to strict separation indexes. Middling ores are usually reprocessed specially. When the operation condition has changed, zonation and selection should be adjusted accordingly so as to keep the stability of separation indexes. Therefore, operators should hold responsible for their work, monitor the situation of zonation carefully, and make some adjustments if necessary.Besides, to achieve a better selection, the lateral slope should match well with the stream on the bed

    A proper flow of flushing water

    The water used by shaking table can be divided into two purposes, which are for washing and selecting minerals. Flushing water should be controlled in a suitable flow and distribution. Generally speaking, big flow is good for improving the grade of concentrates, but it is bad for recycling. In a word, the flow should become big when dealing with coarse-grained materials and making a careful selection.

    A proper feeding concentration

    For a shaking table, the feeding concentration means keeping a sufficient flow of mash in the sake of division, and the depth of water should immerse the mineral particles. Generally, the feeding concentration of coarse sand ranges from 20% to 30%, while that of fine particles is 15%-25%. Most of the water flows in a horizontal direction along the tailings, easily washing sand silts away, which causes fine-grained minerals to run off.

    A proper stroke length and stroke frequency

    A proper stroke should in complete accord with the size of minerals, the load capacity of shaking table, and the density of minerals. When processing minerals with big size and thick bed, you should make the stroke have a larger length and higher frequency. And vice versa when processing fine ore slimes. When the beck load increases, or dense minerals are needed to wash, operators should adopt a longer stroke and higher frequency.

    To get a proper stroke of the shaking bed, operators should repeatedly practice and sum up experience.

    The Working Principle

    The motor drives the eccentric shafts to rotate and the connecting rod to move up and down. With the rod moving down, minerals on tilting deck installed by rifle spokes go into the feed box. At the same time, water stored in the water tank impacts the minerals laterally. So by the means of shaking and washing, minerals of different sizes and densities flow from discharge outlets, which separate concentrates and tailings clearly and efficiently.
